RAUMSCHIFF bildet einen Knotenpunkt
für junge Kunst- und Designschaffenden im interdisziplinären Austausch, sowie für Begegnung und Dialog mit der Öffentlichkeit.

Der gemeinnützige und unabhängige Verein bietet Raum,
fördert Eigeninitiative sowie die gesellschaftliche und wirtschaftliche Anerkennung künstlerischer Arbeit.

- zeitgenössische Gruppenausstellungen
- Konzerte, einer Performances und experimentelle Veranstaltungen

Nach langem Leerstand wurde mit großem ehrenamtlichen Engagement, Crowdfunding (https://www.startnext.com/raumschiff) und mit vielen Helfer*Innen das Erdgeschoß des einstigen ‘Grienauer Stöckl’ (1595) am Pfarrplatz 18 renoviert und ein Raum geschaffen, der für alle offen ist.

RAUMSCHIFF fills a gap by enabling common activities for arts students from different programs, and by facilitating dialogue and exchange between young artists and the interested public via exhibitions, workshops and events but also an inviting café as well as our shop that offers local arts & design products.

The term RAUMSCHIFF (SPACESHIP) combines the notion of
open space with the metaphor of a protecting ship.
The registered association was founded by students of the University of Art & Design Linz in Spring 2013.

The initiative works to improve career perspectives of arts graduates
and to raise awareness for the meaningful contribution of creative- artistic approaches to the grand challenges of society and economy today.
Equally important, as a student-run initiative, RAUMSCHIFF motivates students to think and act more entrepreneurial and gain valuable extra-curricular experience.

In January 2014, we have opened the doors of RAUMSCHIFF
as a brand-new space for collaboration, exhibitions and
events for everyone who wants to be part of this journey.
